Our Musical Voyager preschool music program introduces children ages 3-6 to the world of musical instruments in a relaxed and fun group class setting. Each weekly 30 minute Musical Voyager class is broken up into three segments: piano, group rhythm and instrument demos. During these hands-on classes children will be exposed to and given the opportunity to play many different instruments including guitar, drums, violin, cello, trumpet and many more. At registration, each student will be given a fun Musical Voyagers Passport™ to track and learn more about the instruments they experience each week. At the end of each class, the students will have their passport stamped to prove their successful completion of that day’s musical voyage.
Our Musical Voyager program is segmented into two separate classes:
Musical Voyagers One
It is recommended that all children start with our Musical Voyagers One class. In this class the piano segment curriculum is crafted to build foundational skills that will begin to prepare the students for piano lessons. A total of eight benchmark techniques will be closely tracked and communicated with the parents. When the students complete and are comfortable with each of the eight benchmarks, it will be recommended that they advance to Musical Voyagers Two
Musical Voyagers Two
In our Musical Voyagers Two class a more advanced curriculum continues to build upon the piano skills foundation while introducing new music theory concepts including pre-staff note reading, dynamic and tempo markings and terminology along with more advanced piano playing posture and techniques. Rhythm play and instrument demos continue as in Musical Voyagers One
